The attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold

Solution

1.   Browse to SharePoint’s Central Administration.

2.   Go to Application Management à Manage Web Application

3.   Click on your web application to select it.

4.   In the Ribbon above, click on General Settings drop down and choose “Resource Throttling”.

5.   Change the list view Threshold value to a higher than the existing one like change if 5000 to 10000 or 50000
